From the beginning, God has called His people to build, steward, produce, dominate, and multiply. (Genesis 1:28). Biblicalpreneurship—the day-to-day work of launching, running, and growing a business—God’s way—isn’t just today’s hustle. It’s a blueprint that’s been running since the Garden of Eden and still moves through biblicalpreneurs today. Adam was the first to receive the orders, placed in the Garden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15), and Eve was created as his helper (Genesis 2:20-23). Don’t trip, ladies—that’s what the Word says. But being a helper doesn’t mean lesser—it means powerful, purposeful, and divinely positioned. Together, Adam and Eve were meant to build, grow, and dominate—the first power couple!

Entrepreneurship has always been the heartbeat of progress. From growing crops and trading goods to designing cutting-edge technology and building financial empires, it’s the bold vision of entrepreneurs that solves problems, serves people, shapes culture, drives economies, and leaves lasting legacies. Today, in our digital era, making money is as simple as apps and a few clicks.

Women everywhere are killing the hustle game! Peep this:

That’s $3.3 trillion (and growing) up for grabs! What are you waiting for? Young or old(er), it’s never too late, Sis. The Bible tells us in Psalm 92:14 that we will still produce fruit and flourish even in old age. And check this out: 62 percent of women-owned businesses are owned by entrepreneurs between the ages of forty and fifty-nine years old! Wait, it gets better! A fifty-year-old founder is 2.8 times more likely to launch a successful startup than a twenty-five-year-old founder. Young or older, ladies, get in on the hustle and get YOUR piece of the action!

Deuteronomy 8:18 straight-up says that it is God who gives you the power to get wealth—to carry out His agenda. Being profitable wasn’t just some random idea; it’s God’s idea, and those profits are not just for you to ball out on your personal wants. God blesses you so you can take care of your needs, plus help others, and push His Kingdom forward.

Women of color are starting businesses at 4.5 times the national average, but the money, support, and resources aren’t always meeting us there. Access to capital continues to be a challenge for underrepresented entrepreneurs, like Black women, as “investors tend to give venture money to people that look like them—they see the potential of people who remind them of themselves.” It might be an unconscious bias, but we still doing that? We’re not asking for a handout—just a hand!

Here’s what 2024 looked like:

Although Black women-owned businesses experienced impressive growth between 2019 and 2024, with revenue surging by 80.8% and employment increasing by 44.4%, they are still under-supported and underfunded. For example, when it comes to venture capitalist (VC) funding, Black founders get less than 2 percent, and Black women get barely 1 percent.

These numbers don’t lie; they tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Black women are capable, qualified, and out here putting in the work, but we need real access to capital, community, coaching, and connection. It’s time to show up for the Black women who’ve been sowing faithfully, grinding quietly, and daring to dream fearlessly. Sis, we see you.

But ladies, we are not new to adversities and the odds stacked against us. While others figure out how to address these disparities, we already know what to do. Let’s get to work!
